TriWest Recognized for Hiring Veterans, Inspiring Workplace

Phoenix, AZ (June 30, 2022) – TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest), headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, announced the company has been recognized with a pair of awards for an inspiring workplace and as a Veteran-friendly company.

Inspiring Workplaces™ ranked TriWest No.25 among the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in North America in 2022. TriWest earned the honor for its excellence in culture and purpose, leadership, wellbeing, inclusion and diversity, communication and employee experience. Inspiring Workplaces™ recognizes forward-thinking organizations and helps encourage positive change in the workplace. At the same time, U.S. Veterans Magazine named TriWest as among the Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Companies. This is an annual recognition that highlights schools, companies and organizations that are championing Veterans’ initiatives. Hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies are polled for the evaluations. TriWest earned this recognition for the second year in a row in 2022 due to its focus on hiring and retaining Veterans and military-connected employees.

“It’s nice to be recognized for what we do best…serving alongside VA to provide excellent service and access to health care services for the heroes of our nation,” said TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr. “The value of this recognition is that it demonstrates our commitment to ensuring Veterans receive the care they have earned and deserve, a commitment carried out by our workforce that is encompassed largely of Veterans or family members of Veterans who demonstrate excellence in the workplace. We are our proud of our people and the service they provide to our nation’s heroes every day.”

The majority of the TriWest workforce is made up of Veterans, military retirees, military spouses, Guard and Reserve members and their spouses. TriWest is privileged to support the health care needs of our nation's Veterans, offering access to high quality provider networks and excellent customer service through the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care Network in Regions 4 and 5. For 18 years, TriWest administered the Department of Defense TRICARE program.

“TriWest is honored to be recognized for its dedicated work in support of military service members and Veterans, including the National Guard and Reserve community,” said McIntyre.

McIntyre reiterated that it is the entire TriWest team, working together, that leads to this kind of recognition and record of innovative service.

“We couldn’t do this important work without the passion and commitment of our employees,” said McIntyre.
