TriWest Receives Prestigious Philanthropic Award from Nationally Respected Blue Star Families
WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 15, 2023) – TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) humbly received a prestigious philanthropic award Oct. 26 from the respected military support organization Blue Star Families for its long-time service to Veterans, their families and other military-connected communities.
Blue Star Families (BSF) presented TriWest its Constance J. Milstein Philanthropic Award at its 2023 ‘Blue Star Celebration’ in recognition of TriWest’s long-time corporate philanthropy to support the nation’s military-related individuals and their families.
Blue Star Families is one of the nation’s most respected military support organizations. Through local chapters they enlist individuals and organizations to help create strong communities of mutual support, empowering military families to thrive while they serve.
Blue Star Families CEO Kathy Roth-Douquet announced the award at the Celebration.
“We are so deeply grateful for our relationship with TriWest,” Roth-Douquet said. “TriWest has been a leader in this community for decades. They’re extraordinarily caring of military families. They’ve been an incredible collaborator in making a difference with military families. That’s why it’s so appropriate for us to present the Constance J. Milstein Philanthropic Award to TriWest,” Roth-Douquet added.
For nearly three decades TriWest has joined with similar organizations to support Active Duty Service Members, Veterans and military-connected individuals and communities. At the event, TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr., provided remarks on behalf of the company and employees for receipt of the prestigious philanthropic award.
He noted that TriWest’s 27-year legacy of strong service and support for military-connected individuals and communities is part of TriWest’s DNA. “This work is a labor of love for us. The majority of the TriWest workforce is made up of Veterans, military spouses, Guard and Reserve members, and those who love and respect them,” said McIntyre.
McIntyre also encouraged other organizations and individuals to join TriWest in supporting and donating to Blue Star Families to help military families feel welcome, connected and empowered to thrive wherever they live.
