Team TriWest Joins Thousands to Honor Fallen Hero at Pat's Run 2023

PHOENIX (May 15, 2023) – Twenty-eight thousand athletes gathered in Tempe, Arizona, on April 15 to participate in the 19^th annual Pat’s Run event to remember Pat Tillman’s legacy. Tillman was an Arizona Cardinals all-star who gave up his professional football career to fight for our nation after the 9/11 attacks. In 2004, his unit was ambushed in Afghanistan where he was tragically killed in friendly fire. Pat’s Run is organized every April to not only honor Tillman’s life and legacy, but to remember all Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving.

Since the first Pat’s Run in 2005, TriWest has been a sponsor and supporter of the Pat Tillman Foundation. This year, 29 TriWest employees proudly joined the 28,000 participants in honoring Tillman and our nation’s heroes by walking or running the 4.2 mile route.
