National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic Offers Challenge, Rehabilitation and Rejuvenation

PHOENIX (April 18, 2023) – The 37th annual National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic recently took place March 25-31, once again providing determined and resilient Veterans an activity-filled week of adaptive sports competition, rehabilitation, recreation, and rejuvenating camaraderie.

The event, held in Snowmass, Colo., and sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Disabled American Veterans (DAV), hosted more than 300 Veterans participating in a range of competitive and invigorating activities including adaptive skiing, sled hockey, curling, and more.

Participating Veterans enjoyed an energizing opportunity to challenge themselves, gain new skills, and demonstrate their competitive determination and resilience.

TriWest Healthcare Alliance, a long-time supporter of adaptive sports events and activities for disabled Veterans, joined other sponsoring organizations to assist at the event. Throughout the clinic TriWest staff assisted Veteran participants and helped coordinate various activities.

TriWest also sponsored Adaptive Adventures, an organization encouraging disabled individuals to participate in outdoor sports regardless of location, equipment needs, or economic status.
