Quitting Smoking: VA Provides Useful Digital Resources to Help Beat the Habit

PHOENIX (May 17, 2025) — Overcoming a challenging smoking habit is one of the best achievements Veterans and military-connected individuals can make to improve their health and wellness. Whether serving Active Duty or as a civilian, good health and well-being often improves the ability to pursue greater pastimes and activities.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) understands that quitting smoking can be a difficult challenge and that some may need extra support to become free from tobacco, nicotine, and smoking.

VA offers several useful digital resources to help provide support for those on a mission to improved health and well-being. The agency recently covered three mobile apps for those who may seek encouragement, mindfulness techniques, or structured guidance to help them succeed in their commitment to wellness.
