From PTSD to Possibility
Alisa Allen proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1994-2008, including an 11-month Iraq War deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. During her sudden combat zone deployment she developed PTSD, later struggling to reintegrate into her family, co-workers, and civilian life, becoming isolated by her challenges coping with her war service.
