New Confidence and Possibilities at the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic

PHOENIX (October 23, 2025) — The 2025 National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic recently took place in San Diego, welcoming 142 disabled and injured Veterans to participate in   adaptive sports and activities for their ongoing rehabilitation.

The clinic, organized and co-hosted by the Department of Veterans Affairs, invites disabled Veterans from across the nation for a week of adaptive sports and activities including cycling, kayaking, sailing, surfing, and more.

As a strong supporter of adaptive sports and activities for disabled and injured Veterans, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) is a long-time sponsor of the popular clinic.  TriWest attends the clinic annually to support resilient Veterans and hear their inspiring stories of determination to overcome challenging disabilities and injuries.

This year, TriWest had the privilege to hear the story of a determined U.S. Navy Veteran diagnosed with two debilitating conditions who participated in the Summer Sports Clinic despite her life-changing symptoms.
