TRICARE Beneficiaries: Get Your RSV and Flu Immunizations Through TRICARE
PHOENIX (November 24, 2025) — During late fall and early winter as people gather indoors together, respiratory viruses circulate rapidly and can easily cause illness and general discomfort.
According to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Service members and their family members should be aware that illnesses like respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV and flu can spread quickly.
However, TRICARE covers both RSV and flu immunizations for Service members and their families, offering the most effective way to prevent illness, DHA says.
Both RSV and flu cause disruptive symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, and congestion. Immunizations through TRICARE helps against infection and can also reduce the severity of illness, DHA adds.
