Teamwork and Tenacity Shine at National Veterans Wheelchair Games

PHOENIX (Aug. 15, 2025) – U.S. Veteran athletes from 28 states and Puerto Rico competed in the 44^th National Veterans Wheelchair Games July 17-22 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ranging from age 19 to 90, 537 Veteran athletes battled for medals in 23 events at the Minneapolis Exhibition Center and other nearby sites. The event, co-presented by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Paralyzed Veterans of America, is the world’s largest annual wheelchair sports and rehabilitation event solely for military Veterans.
