Supporting Family Military Members During Deployment or Conflict

PHOENIX (September 2, 2026) During lengthy or high-risk deployments, it is common for Service members to face increased stress, physical and mental demands, and fatigue that can be challenging.

For families, deployment is also stressful and challenging to have a Service member away with limited knowledge of their precise location, daily activities, and overall condition.

Despite the challenges, spouses, partners, and family members are an essential source of emotional and practical support for military members during deployment and conflict.

On deployment, military members deeply rely on support from home to help better handle their extended separation from loved ones.

Those who have never deployed or had a family member deploy may find it especially helpful to discover useful tips and resources to support loved ones during deployment.
