TriWest Provides Support for Two New Children’s Waiting Rooms in TRICARE West Region

PHOENIX (June 10, 2025) — For our nation’s busy Active Duty military families, finding free time for routine activities such as attending health care appointments can be extremely difficult. Military parents, who often need childcare, can face even more stress to attend to their medical matters.

Fortunately, in the TRICARE West Region the Armed Services YMCA is working to meet the childcare challenges some junior military parents face. The nationally chartered organization is providing children’s waiting room services making it easier for parents to attend important health care appointments.

Recently, a grand opening of the latest children’s waiting room occurred at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

As a strong supporter of our nation’s military and Veteran communities since 1996, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) is also a sponsor of the new waiting room.

The recent BAMC facility grand opening was the second TriWest has sponsored since its transition to TRICARE health care delivery on Jan. 1, 2025.

This new Healthy Homefront® feature shares more on why TriWest supports children’s waiting rooms for military parents attending important health care appointments.
