VA Women Veterans: Learn What Resources are Available to Navigate Menopause

PHOENIX (July 23, 2025) — For women Veterans, menopause is one more phase of life. Support is available to help navigate through this life transition.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), women Veterans may experience menopause symptoms earlier and have more symptoms develop throughout the three stages – perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.

Women Veterans may also experience chronic stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, and trauma leading to a disruption in hormones.

VA services are available to help women Veterans manage menopause and may include access to medication, sleep support, lifestyle counseling, and mental health care.
