Purpose, Passion, and Commitment After National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic

PHOENIX (Nov. 14, 2025) — The 2025 National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic in San Diego late last August invited 142 disabled and injured Veterans to an exciting week of adaptive sports and activities for their ongoing rehabilitation.

Organized by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the clinic provides participating Veterans a rejuvenating opportunity to explore new adaptive activities like surfing, kayaking, sailing, yoga, and more.

TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) is a strong supporter of adaptive sports and activities for disabled and injured Veterans, annually sponsoring the clinic.

TriWest attends the event each year to support participants and hear their inspiring journeys of determination, perseverance and resilience.

This year, TriWest had the privilege to meet a highly driven U.S. Navy Veteran with renewed purpose to help others find strength and resilience after hardship.

This new Healthy Homefront® feature shares one driven Veteran’s journey of determination after the 2025 National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.
