DHA Announces June 30 TRICARE Reinstatement Deadline for Disenrolled Beneficiaries
PHOENIX (May 1, 2025) — The Defense Health Agency (DHA) has announced that TRICARE West Region beneficiaries who were disenrolled from their health plan for not providing payment information by April 30 have until June 30, 2025, to reinstate their coverage.
According to DHA, West Region beneficiaries who didn’t submit payment information to TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) by April 30 were disenrolled from their TRICARE plan on May 1.
West Region beneficiaries who did not provide payment information to TriWest will receive a letter from the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) informing them of their disenrollment from coverage, DHA says.
Beneficiaries for TRICARE For Life and US Family Health Plan or an overseas TRICARE plan are not affected by the disenrollment date.
TRICARE beneficiaries who haven’t made payments for plan coverage in 2025 will have their disenrollment back dated to Jan. 1. These beneficiaries will be responsible for all medical services family members have received this calendar year.
DHA advises disenrolled beneficiaries call TriWest at 888-TRIWEST (874-9378) and request reinstatement. Disenrolled members will not be able to request reinstatement via TriWest’s portal, and if not requested by June 30, 2025, coverage ceases.
