TriWest’s CCN Providers Deliver Care and Support to Veterans at Home

PHOENIX (April 26, 2024) — Many Veterans find as they age or as serious health issues arise, they prefer remaining in their homes and managing chronic conditions or illness in a familiar setting.

With all of the advantages toward retaining comfort and independence, remaining at home can require consistent, committed family support. If in-home caregivers travel away for work or other committed activities, they may have little time to provide care.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recognizes these challenges and includes home care for eligible Veterans through its Community Care Networks (CCN), including TriWest’s CCN Regions 4 & 5 providers.

Dorrie Emmerich, Director of VA Services for one of TriWest’s community-based home health care agency partners, understands the home health care needs of Veterans and their families. She has worked many years in health care and helps her agency’s providers become credentialed to get Veterans the care they have earned and deserve.

“Veterans dedicated their lives to defending our nation,” Emmerich says. “We recognized their need and chose to focus our efforts in that area. I’m so grateful to be able to help Veterans get the care they need.”
