VA Staff Portal Updates

Effective as of August 5, 2017

  1. "Med Doc Review" and "Med Doc Download" tabs:
    • A new "Priority" column will be added to indicate "HIGH" when the medical documentation is uploaded to an authorization that has been designated as higher clinical priority for Medical/Surgical care or Behavioral Health. Additionally, imaging and lab work medical documentation will have the "HIGH" indicator.
      • The new column can be sorted or filtered.
      • The default sort order when first opening these tabs will now have the "HIGH" items on top, then sorted by most recent received date on top. Note that the current sort order reflects the most recently received date on top.
      • Documents not associated with a clinical priority will have this column blank.
    • Providers at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) who care for Veterans under the PC3 or Choice programs can now send medical documentation via Secure Email only. This medical documentation received via Secure Email will NOT be moved into the "Med Doc Review" or "Med Doc Download" tabs on the VA Portal, but will be emailed via Secure Email directly to the Portland VAMC instead.
  2. "Search" tab:
    • "Document" tab:
      • A new "Source" field will be shown with value "SECURE EMAIL", for Medical documentation that was received via Secure Email.
      • Note: Due to the new "Source" field, you will not find medical documentation received via Secure Email in your "Med Doc Review" or "Med Doc Download" tabs.
    • "Auth Detail" view:
      • "Program" will now display with 'CHOICE 30' or 'CHOICE 40' instead of just 'CHOICE', if TriWest has associated the authorization to a 30 Day or 40 Mile program category.
  3. "SAR Review" tab:
