Updating DEERS

Change in military life is about the only constant TriWest beneficiaries seem to enjoy. However, as career changes move you from one region to the next, or as your family grows or gets smaller, keeping your Defense Enrollments Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) information updated can ensure everyone eligible receives the benefits TRICARE has to offer.

How to Update DEERS

To verify that your personal information is correctly recorded with DEERS, contact TriWest Healthcare Alliance at 1-888-TRIWEST (888-874-9378). You also can visit your local TRICARE Service Center or the nearest uniformed services personnel office (ID-card issuing facility), or contact the Defense Manpower Data Center Support Office (DSO) at 1-800-538-9552.

If information is incorrect, note that registered family members may make address changes only. These can be done online at http://www.tricare.mil/deers/default.cfm.

The military sponsor (or someone with the sponsor’s power of attorney) is the only individual who can add or delete a family member from DEERS. To do so, be prepared to provide such documents as:
