Videotape Messages for Troops at ASYMCA’s Family Day

Last Chance for families to videotape their messages for our troops at Fort Bliss

PHOENIX (Aug. 31, 2007) — TriWest Healthcare Alliance is offering a last chance for family members, friends and supporters of America’s troops to videotape personal messages that troops can access whenever they choose and as often as they like.

As part of Armed Services YMCA’s Family Day, El Paso ABC affiliate KVIA TV will video tape minute-long messages and place them on the station’s Web site, www.KVIA.com, where they can be viewed by troops stationed around the world.

The free video tapings will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Armed Services YMCA facility at Fort Bliss, 7060 Comington St. Come early and take advantage of free pizza and sodas.

"An opportunity like this doesn’t come along very often, and I encourage everyone who has a loved one, family member or friend serving overseas to take a minute and tape a personal message," said TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr. "To those defending our nation far from home, these personal videotaped messages are a heartfelt touch of home."

The message taping is part of TriWest’s Troop Support initiative for Fort Bliss and El Paso.

TriWest is a staunch supporter of El Paso’s military community. In the last year TriWest contributed more than $280,000 to various programs, including a $150,000 commitment to the operating cost of the USO Center in El Paso, $20,000 to the Armed Services YMCA, $15,000 to the Fort Bliss Army Emergency Relief Fund, and $14,000 in tickets for military families to attend the El Paso Diablo’s Military Appreciation Nights.
