Granting Family Members Account Access
Registered TriWest.com users can grant family members (who are also registered users) access to:
- View authorizations
- Check claim status and view the Explanation of Benefits
- Update or add Other Health Insurance
- Change mailing address
- Verify eligibility
- Check out-of-pocket balances
Note: the sponsor and the sponsor's spouse can automatically view the healthcare information of family members who are 17 years old or younger. Children age 18 and older must register for a TriWest.com account and grant access before the sponsor and sponsor's spouse can view their healthcare information.
To grant access to a family member:
- The family member you want to be able to access your information must also be registered for an account.
- Log in and navigate to the “Grant Access to Family Members” page.
- Click the blue “Grant” button in the "Change Access” column for the family member you would like to grant access to.
- Access is now granted to that family member. You may change the duration of the access by clicking the date listed in the “Access To My Account” column.
Access may be limited if there are restrictions on an account.
Previously, sensitive diagnoses (including care related to reproductive health, behavioral health, and other categories) were restricted from viewing online. Now, you can see all of your claim and specialty care referral/authorization information when you log into your account. These “sensitive diagnoses” will still be unavailable online for beneficiaries age 13 to 17.
