Crisis Connection

Crisis Connection provides the latest news from disaster areas that impact TRICARE’s West Region, to include how TRICARE will meet your healthcare and pharmacy needs during a crisis. TriWest Healthcare Alliance is also standing by at 1-888-TRIWEST (874-9378).

TRICARE Preparedness

The time to prepare for a disaster is before the storm clouds are on the horizon. At very least do the following:

  • Have your ID in your wallet along with the TRICARE Information Wallet Card.
  • Keep your most important papers, including your TRICARE contact information, ID cards, prescriptions for medications and eyeglasses or contacts in one secure location in your home where you can grab them in a hurry. Include contact information for all your providers.
  • Prepare a family evacuation plan with a definite destination.
  • Agree on a telephone number to call and a place to meet if you and your family members are separated.
  • Have an emergency bag packed and ready to grab on your way out. Don’t forget to pack any needed medicines and spare glasses or contacts.
