Do I need to pay fees?
Yes.
Retired service members, their families, survivors, eligible former spouses, and others enrolled in TRICARE Prime are required to pay
an annual enrollment fee.
No.
There are no enrollment fees for Active Duty Service Members (ADSMs) and Active Duty Family Members (ADFMs) enrolled in TRICARE Prime,
TRICARE Prime Remote (TPR), or TRICARE Prime Remote for Active Duty Family Members (TPRADFM).

TRICARE will require mandatory electronic payment of Prime enrollment fees (
do I need to pay fees?). That means TriWest Healthcare Alliance may only accept payment by one
of the following methods:
- Allotment. Set-up a monthly automated deduction from the sponsor’s uniformed services retirement pay.
- Electronic funds transfer (EFT). Transfer funds directly from your financial institution to TriWest and not as an online
bill pay from your bank.
