TriWest Cancer Clinical Trial (CCT) Coordinators

1-866-427-6610

What can the CCT Coordinators do for you?

Understanding and living with a cancer diagnosis can be difficult and stressful. TriWest is committed to helping you make informed health care decisions. The CCT Coordinators at TriWest can conduct a search for providers in order to find clinical trials that meet TRICARE’s eligibility requirements.

Approximately 12,000 TRICARE beneficiaries are diagnosed with some form of cancer each year. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) hosts an online database, the Physician’s Data Query (PDQ), offering the most current and accurate cancer information to the public. On the PDQ page, you will also find links to a registry of Cancer Clinical Trials and directories of physicians who provide cancer care. The PDQ also contains peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, genetics, complementary and alternative medicine and supportive care. TriWest’s CCT Coordinators can mail you copies of trial protocols listed in the PDQ, closely matching your individual health status with available trials.

The TriWest CCT Coordinators can also send you NCI publications about many cancer topics, including support for parents of children with cancer and family strategies for coping with cancer. The service is free for eligible beneficiaries.
